A strange situation is currently developing with Israel and its use of force in Syria. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister and Russia’s Vladimir Putin are actually much closer than most people know.
The two had a meeting yesterday, and both before and after this meeting a couple strange things happened which led to an escalation of tension in the region. Is Israel finally becoming more overtly active in the attempts to take Bashar al-Assad’s regime out of power in Syria?
Before Netanyahu and Putin had the meeting on Wednesday, the Syrian government accused Israel of firing at their own military in Syria, as the Syrians intercepted their missiles.
Now, Israel is saying nearly the exact same thing, claiming that about 20 rockets were fired at Israeli military bases in southern Syria just a little bit after midnight today (on Thursday). They claim the people firing on them were “Iranian forces.”
So Israel, the country whose officials openly said that they wanted to “kill” Bashar al-Assad, one of the boldest nations opposing his regime has a functional military base in southern Syria? That’s unlike any country on Earth except for the United States. Before this, were you actually aware that Israel has military bases inside Syria?
Now Israel has the perfect excuse to bomb Syria. Here’s a photo of their recent attack.
If you read mainstream media outlets like the Guardian you would have no idea about these important details, like the correlation between the meeting between Putin and Netanyahu and these events.
Just look at the aesthetic of their article here about how Israel was only “retaliating” after Iran fired at a region that they did not specify was southern Syria. They just called it “occupied Golan Heights” because that sounds better than a country that does not belong to Israel.
No people died in this alleged attack on an Israeli base in Golan Heights, but Israel made sure to hit Syria with bombs near Damascus.
However the mainstream media and Israel are making a big deal out of this. They are reporting this is the first time Iran has ever fired rockets in a direct strike on Israeli forces. They claim that several of the rockets from “Iranian forces” were intercepted but not all of them. An IDF spokesman said:
“At approximately 12.10, 10 minutes past midnight, forces belonging to the Iranian Quds Force fired approximately 20 projectiles – most of them are probably rockets but that is yet to be determined – towards the forward line of IDF positions in the Golan Heights,” he said.
“So far we are not aware of any casualties, any IDF casualties,” he continued.
The media is now reporting that a “barrage of missiles” has been fired by Israel into Syria, and one has to wonder how complicit Russia is with this given the fact that there was just a meeting between the leaders of these two countries.
Not only did the two leaders meet yesterday, but they participated in some bizarre parade to celebrate the end of WWII, conjuring up military worship in the minds of their people by mentioning the Nazis. They spent 10 hours together. These aren’t photos of the recent meeting, but the past several years.
Who knows how many innocent people died in the attacks on Syria from Israel.
Despite how difficult it would be to believe in face of the mainstream narrative about Russia, could it be that Russia is actually not truly loyal to Iran or Syria? Could Russia possibly be coerced or even willingly made to bend to the will of Israel, over Iran or Syria, and how could China play into this?
